Louise West made the following two pieces.

This is a photograph of my final piece of work for MA in art and design, worked in wire using traditional bobbin lace techniques. The work researched and reflected on contemporary plant issues and lace grounds, combining the two into genetically modified plant stems, the tallest of which is almost three feet tall, and 8 inches in diameter, and features the DNA helix.

The lace angel Eve is in traditional Bedfordshire bobbin lace techniques and a commemorative angel to remember my Mum with. It has a stylised Poinsetta flower to remind of her love of this plant which it was traditional to always have one of in the house every Christmas.
